Built in 1852 by Paul Curtis at Medford, Massachusetts, the “Beverly” became part of Glidden & Williams’ line of San Francisco clippers. Oil on canvas, 18 ¼ x 23 ¾ inches. The stretcher with remnants of two old labels, the reverse of the frame inscribed in pencil “Woo Cheong/ Painter/ No. 123/ Hong Kong.”
