Each brightly painted in blue, green, iron-red, yellow and manganese purple, the first depicting insects hovering near a flower growing from a gnarled root, the rim surrounded by an unusual border of fish and seaweed; the second a bird flying over another in a fenced flower garden, the rim with four floral sprays. Diameters 13 ⅞ and 13 ½ inches.
