The rectangular top with molded edge and blocked front above a conforming case with four graduated beaded drawers, set on a molded base with straight bracket feet. Height 30 ½ inches, overall width 39 inches, depth 22 ½ inches.
Provenance: George Ffrost I (1720-96) of Durham, NH; to his son George Ffrost II (1765-1841); to his grandson William Pepperrell Ffrost (1802-93); to his great grandson George S. Ffrost (1844-1931); to his daughter Mary Pepperell Ffrost (1871-1947), who married James Cowan Sawyer in 1897; to their children and thence to the current owner.
