Literature: An identically modelled set, impressed "DIXON AUSTIN & CO," is discussed and illustrated in Pat Halfpenny, "English Earthenware Figures 1740-1840," pp. 123-24. The author relates that the Four Seasons are the better known of the figures produced by the factory, with at least two fully-marked sets and several unmarked single figures noted.
