The obverse with laureate profile bust encircled by a serpent swallowing its tail signifying eternity, signed beneath the bust, the circular legend “Alexander the Blessed, died in Taganrog on November 19, 1825” in Cyrillic; the reverse with an all-seeing eye, legend in Cyrillic and date of 1812. The top edge with loop for hanging. Diameter 2 ⅝ inches.
