Each painted en grisaille and gold after a series of engravings by Jan Luyken (Dutch 1649-1712), the first depicting the ‘Crucifixion,’ with Christ flanked by the two thieves and gamblers in the foreground, the second the ‘Resurrection,’ Mary seated before four soldiers and three figures in the distance, each rim surrounded by a du Pacquier-style border of strapwork entwined with flowering vinery and berries. Diameters 8 ⅞ inches.
