Provenance: Jonathan Horne, London, January 2003.
Literature: A dish depicting the same view, but inscribed “Jacob & Rebecca Anobas,” is discussed and illustrated in Britton, Ibid, p. 206, n. 12.85. The author notes that the name “Anobas” is very rare and suggests the dish may have been made for a foreign visitor.
