RARE AND IMPORTANT MASSACHUSETTS PILGRIM CENTURY OAK AND PINE BLANKET CHEST WITH DRAWER,1650-1700.

The top with molded edge and pinned cleats lifting above a joined case with double-paneled sides and a triple-paneled front, the central section with applied geometric moldings in the form of four crosses centering a diamond boss, flanked by panels with applied moldings in the form of arches with keystones, each panel separated with applied half-spindles, above a single long drawer with two faux-drawer fronts, the whole raised on straight feet continuing from the front and rear stiles. Height 30 ½ inches, width 47 ½ inches, depth 20 ¾ inches.
