Built in 1841 by Cushing O. Briggs & Sons on the North River, Scituate, the “Susan Jane” served the Mediterranean trade. Watercolor on paper, 18 ¼ x 25 inches, sight. Signed “Raffael Corsini” l.r. Inscribed “Peter Isaverdens” in the water below the boat approaching the ship’s bow. Frame 23 ½ x 30 inches.
