Written by Booth Tarkington and Harry L. Wilson with set and costume design by Howard Pyle, “Springtime” ran at the Liberty Theater in New York from October through December 1909. Three sketches identified as the characters M. de Vallette, Raoul de Vallette and Julie. Each watercolor on paper, ranging from 20 ¾ x 11 inches to 24 x 10 ¾ inches, sight. Each signed and dated “H. Pyle ’09,” l.r. Each frame 31 x 19 inches.
