Watercolor on ivory, 3 ⅛ x 2 ⅜ inches. Signed and dated “HW 1813” l.l. The reverse with note inscribed in part “Died 10th Sept. 1812 aged 22 years- Sep 10 ’62, ½ past 3 pm. It is now at this hour, fifty years since she died…” In an oval leather case with satin lining, pinned to which is a gold wedding band. The gentleman’s portrait circa 1830, also watercolor on ivory, 1 ½ x 1 ¼ inches.
