The “Tedesco” of Portland, Maine, was wrecked off the coast of Swampscott, Massachusetts in 1857. Watercolor on paper, 16 ¼ x 22 ¼ inches, sight. Signed and dated “(1847) Frederic Roux a Havre,” l.r. The reverse signed and inscribed “Frederic Roux/ Hydrographe & Peintre a Marine/ au Havre/ en Novembre/ 1847.” Frame 21 ¾ x 27 ¾ inches.
