Watercolor on paper in a black and gilt eglomise mat, 10 ½ x 11 ¾ inches, sight. Inscribed in gilt lettering below the image “Sleep Lovely Babe and take Thy Rest. God Call’d The(e) Home Becaus(e) Twas Best.” Inscribed on the reverse “Miss Pierce’s School/ founded 1792/ This picture done there by/ Eunice Pinney born in Simsbury, 1815.” Frame 12 ½ x 14 inches. (Eglomise mat cracked)
